I support youth-serving organizations of all types to engage youth in decisions affecting them. I have seen first-hand how organizations that do the hard work of shared decision-making with youth see the benefits. Engaging youth as shared partners in your decision-making means new initiatives are more likely to succeed and achieve your goals, policy changes are less likely to create unintended consequences, and ongoing operations avoid getting stale.
